STATE AND FEDERAL PARENT LOCATOR SERVICES
California Assembly Bill 1751, Chapter 637, Statutes of 2012 requires that county child welfare agencies, probation departments, and Title IV-E agencies be instructed on how to use the state and federal Parent Locator Services to assist in finding parents of dependent children for assessment and potential placement.
The forms needed to obtain California Parent Locator Services are viewable through the Parent Locator Form, with instructions for submission. In certain circumstances, qualified agencies may be given third party access to the Child Support Enforcement System locate information – to request this access contact the child support agency in your county or region.
