INTERNATIONAL

The Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance became effective in the United States in 2017, with 33 countries agreeing to work together to establish and enforce child support orders across international borders. Since then, more countries have joined the effort, and collecting support from parents who move overseas is now possible in many countries.

Enroll for support if you and your child live in another country and the other parent lives in California.

Does the child live in California?

Enroll for support if the other parent has moved to another country.

Remember, an international child support case means that California is working with another country, not the other parent directly. See the list of countries currently working with the United States to see if a child support order can be established and/or enforced in your case.
