Current Status: Scheduled for early 2020. Business Outcomes: Behavioral Economics combines findings from the fields of sociology, psychology, and economics to make small changes in the environment to make it easier for people to act and make decisions that support their goals. This initiative will create a structure within the California Child Support Services program that will make processes easier and improve program design and communication using Behavioral Economics principles and research. Success Factors: Revise form cover sheets/summons and complaints. Create new outreach materials that focus on best practices in public outreach and plain language content. Use automated call system waiting times to deliver messages that educate the listener on various options that Child Support Services can offer.
